What’s the most common education qualification of people working in Financial Services?
Financial services organisations like Barclays, HSBC, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs etc.
Generally at least a Finance degree or economics degree.
Most finance majors will usually go for there CFA or CFP to help advance there careers.
Also there are series test that many people take to help them out.

College degree is usually preferred but not reqd. High School is absolutley minimum reqd. I am an advisor and do have a degree but I know many that never went to college.

Depends which speciality you wish to go into – if you are thinking about becoming a Financial Adviser you need to be initially CeFA qualified – Certificate in Financial Advice. You would then move onto a Diploma and ultimately go for Chartered Financial Planner status.

Would also recommend that you look at the Securities Institute website as they offer exams in Compliance and Risk plus qualifications which would be more appropriate to becoming a trader.
If you are still in full time education a good range of exams would be appropriate including Maths English and Business studies.

Possibly some kind of A-Levels, or maybe a degree in finance? But if not, get some finance exams under your belt before you apply (it will show you studied & passed these exams at your own initiative in your own time etc)
