Targeted mailings are best for that sort of thing. Although you’d like to think that everyone has a computer & the internet, those people who need your services may not (or may not be savvy enough to find you).

I sound like a broken record, but call Acxiom and get a targeted list of consumers who would be likely to use your product. Then hire a company like Vista Print to print & mail your postcards. They have templates right on line to create one in minutes.

How about retirement centers alot of elderly people need someone that can help them with their finances as they get older many have few relatives or trust worthy friends to handle there financial matters .Alot of retirement centers have security so you cant just go solictating but if you have friends ,associates or accuquitances that know some people it may be benificial for you.

Where ever there is illness there is bound to be financial hardships and worries hospitals and clinics are a great place to search for potential clients because you can run there tag and get the address and send them a flyer .
http://www.licenseplatespy.com/ I saw a few cheaper than this site online.New businesses,contractors,etc are great outlets.In malls you sometimes see men with their suit and ties on and they have a display set up for people to grab flyers .Hanging out a cafes and nice social clubs are a good way to let the well to do crowd no of your exsistence .I have personally how many of those with money hang with those that do and they seem to more business .Military people make a steady income and places ads in military news papers is faily cheap and alot of military people like to get the free papers providing discounts to miltary and retired miltary may give you some more attention.

How about craiglist ?Dont know how good it may be seems that alot of people make money of it alot of people are bored and simply spend hours searching through the site.

The Chamber of Commerce is an excellent way to get your business out there alot of times the local chamber of commerce has sites and they will display your business site in a good place for your display of concern for community problems and particapating in local civic events.
People that are needed services may be referred to you through members or friends of people associated with the chamber of commerce ,etc.
