I am graduating with a B.S. in Finance and a minor in banking and financial services. I have been told that the best position to apply for is a Personal Banker I position….. as this will give me the experience and ability to pursue a variety of avenues in the future. Is this true? Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Most banking employees start at the bottom and work their way up.
Bottom = teller. After you get the idea of how you are paid, you are then moved into your specialty. (at least that is how it was for a family member of mine that worked in a bank).
All of the management of the bank where he was employed served time behind the cage – including the President and the CEO.
